RE:                  Renaissance Boulder Suites Named Hotel of the Year 2007!

 

I’m proud to announce that Dave Kennedy and his entire team at the Renaissance Boulder Suites was named 2007 Renaissance Hotel of the Year at the recent global full service awards conference.  This prestigious award is given out to only two Renaissance hotels in the domestic United States – one franchise and one managed. 

 

In order to win this award, the hotel must achieve excellence in all areas of the balanced scorecard.  The Renaissance Boulder Suites team ended their year not only in the top 3 for overall satisfaction, up 2.8 in RevPar index, but also almost 16% in revenues and 32% in house profit.  In addition to the tangible results, consideration was given to the brand’s strategic positioning including expressive design, savvy service, successful street-side restaurant and a soul of a boutique hotel. 

 

Additionally, the Renaissance Boulder Suites team was also presented with the Customer Excellence Award for ranking in the top 3 of the brand (75 Renaissance hotels in North America) for overall guest satisfaction.  This is the hotel’s fifth consecutive win in this category.   

 

Dave Kennedy and team were also recognized with the Leadership Excellence Award.  This honor is awarded to GMs that demonstrate balanced focus while achieving operational excellence, financial excellence and customer excellence in all areas of the hotel.  This would include sales leadership, food and beverage accomplishments, product and service GSS indexes, quality assurance performance, talent acquisition and associate development. 

 

Throughout 2007, the hotel was recognized by Marriott’s Renaissance brand with the Chef of the Year (out of 130 worldwide) as well as the Renaissance Sales Team of the Year, ranking in the top 5% of the brand in both service and product quality and having a 95% score on the 2007 Quality Assurance Audit.
